All in One SEO Pack Installation
When WordPress and SEO are brought together, people often try to use Yoast SEO first. Yoast SEO stands out as the most popular SEO plugin for WordPress, but it is not always the best option. All in One SEO Pack can appear in any competitive environment
All in One SEO Pack is one of the most popular plugins on WordPress right now. It is at least as remarkable a plugin as Yoast SEO. When you consider what this plugin has to offer and what it can do, you can see why it’s a good alternative.
This guide covers all the features, price and basic settings of the plugin in question. In addition, the plugin was compared with Yoast SEO. You can benefit from the information here on the correct installation and settings of the All in One SEO Pack plugin. All in One SEO Pack will be a very good alternative, especially against the update errors made by Yoast recently.

All in One SEO Pack Installation
Knowing the basic features of this plugin is not enough to compare it to Yoast SEO. For this, a simple installation is required. After installing the plugin, you can start the basic settings by activating it. When the plugin is activated, a tab named All in One SEO will appear in the WordPress left menu.
By clicking on this tab, you can access all the settings of the plugin. The plugin’s settings page is not as well structured and pleasing as Yoast SEO. Therefore, you need to focus on the content rather than the image.
There should only be two ticks in the general settings section:
Set Protocol for Canonical URLs – Auto
The question mark next to each setting will take you to the plugin’s document details. You can perform the adjustments step by step by clicking on this question mark.
You can find Canonical URL, HTTPS and other necessary settings here. In general you should stick to the default settings here. If you have an SSL certificate, you should remember that you can set the mandatory HTTPS use on your site.
Homepage, Header and Custom Post Types Settings
Just below the general settings, there is “Home Page Settings”, that is, “Home Page Settings”. From this section, you can make edits such as page titles, descriptions and keywords.
These settings will be much more interesting when you switch to the “Title Settings” section. Here you can set the specific settings required for all your WordPress content. If you don’t want to use different header styles, you should stick to the default settings here.
You can see the settings I use in the screenshot below.
To reach this area, you can follow the steps of All in One SEO > Search Appearance, respectively.
The “Content Types” section will help you for articles and page SEO settings. If there are post types that you don’t want to do a separate SEO study for, you should consider disabling the settings for them here.
You can use the “Taxonomies” section for Tags and Categories.
Once you’ve made the adjustments for the custom post types, you’ll see a few pretty straightforward settings. You can approve your site in search engines, remove certain articles and pages from the search engine index, and review other advanced options.
The last part in the general settings is the “Keyword Settings” section. In this section, you can decide whether to use meta keywords or not. You should remember that if you enable keywords, you can use them for categories and tags. This setting will also allow you to generate keywords automatically. I do not recommend enabling this setting.
All in One SEO Pack plugin has various general performance tweaks required for WordPress. You can find them in All in One SEO > Search Appearance.
In addition, my suggestion for pagination, tags, archives and search pages would be to activate the noindex part. Perform this setting after determining whether your traffic pages are tag pages. I noindex tags, archive pages, 404, paginations (Page/2 etc) and search pages.
In the media settings, your setting to redirect the attachment pages created by the media to the original pages should be turned on.
Editing Titles and Descriptions
If you’ve used Yoast SEO before, you should be used to editing page titles and descriptions. In All in One SEO Pack plugin you can include the meta box in the post editor and set custom titles and descriptions for each post or page.
Enabling Additional Features
From this point on, you may want to take a look at the Open Graph integration and XML sitemap elements. All in One SEO Pack plugin does not support these elements by default. However, you can activate them by going to All in One SEO > Feature Manager.
Other features in this section are custom robots.txt files, importing and exporting settings, and blocking bad bots.
All in One SEO Pack vs. Yoast SEO
All in One SEO Pack is a very comprehensive SEO tool for beginners and advanced users.
The biggest disadvantage of this plugin is that it doesn’t have as good an interface as Yoast SEO. On the other hand, it does not offer the readability and keyword optimization options offered by Yoast SEO. If you look at it from this perspective, Yoast SEO is one step ahead.
If you are going to do standard work on keyword optimization, All in One SEO Pack will be a much better choice for you if you don’t want to be stuck with content readability. Beginners should continue using Yoast SEO. However, if you have sufficient experience in keyword optimization, you can use All in One SEO Pack.
Although Yoast SEO has many different advantages over the All in SEO Pack plugin, you should not forget that you can have several advantages with the All in One SEO Pack plugin:
- Optimizing the title and description for each post without any extra effort.
- Ease of creating XML sitemap and Open Graph meta tag.
- Extensive setting descriptions and help options based on each plugin setting.
